How long does it take?
The eBook is usually finished within a few minutes, and its page shows you live how far along it is. We email you as soon as it is there. The hardcover is with you in 5 to 10 working days.
What exactly do I get?
Your own picture book with a 26-page story, with your child as the main character, their name and your dedication. As "Hardcover with eBook" you get the printed book with a firm cover, 21 × 28 cm, and the eBook by email beforehand: 37.98 € incl. VAT, plus 5.95 € shipping within Germany. Or take the eBook alone for 7.99 € incl. VAT: by email, to read aloud on a phone, tablet or computer, and you may print it too.
Will the child in the book look like my grandchild?
We draw the character from your photo, with hair, skin tone and face, and it will resemble your child. It is a loving drawing and not a copy, so small differences are part of it. You see the eBook first, by email, page by page, and a hardcover is only printed after that. If you are not happy with the result, simply reply to the email: a person will look at it.
Is the photo safe with you?
We use the photo only to draw the child for your books, and we pass it to nobody for advertising. It is not reachable at any public address, and we remove the capture location the moment it is uploaded. Without an order we delete it within two days, otherwise 90 days after delivery, on our own; sooner if you wish, an email is enough. There is more in the privacy policy.
Can I give the book to someone else?
Gladly, that is what it is made for. You wrap the hardcover yourself: that makes it the big surprise when the child discovers themselves inside. We deliver it to any address in Germany, and the eBook comes to you beforehand, so you already know the book. If you give only the eBook, simply forward our email; the book is attached.
Which languages is the book available in?
German, English and Dutch. The book is in the language you order in: you choose it at the bottom of the page.
Can I return the book?
If something about the book is wrong, simply reply to the email: a person will look at it. And you see the eBook before anything is printed. Because every book is made for your child alone, it cannot be returned; for the eBook you expressly agree to this when ordering.
What age is the book for?
We especially recommend it for children from 3 to 8, but it is a lovely gift for younger and older children too. When you order you tell us how old the child is, and the story is told so that they can follow it.
Does the book also come printed?
Yes: a firm cover, 21 × 28 cm, 32 pages with the 26 pages of the story. The easiest way is to choose "Hardcover with eBook" when you order, for €37.98 incl. VAT. If you already have an eBook, order the same book on your book page for €29.99 per book incl. VAT, your eBook payment already included. Shipping within Germany €5.95, free from two copies, the third copy at half price. Printed in Europe and with you in 5 to 10 working days.
What do I write as the dedication?
Three sentences are enough: who it is for, what for, and what you want to give the child. No idea? Tap a name and an occasion in the dedication helper and get three finished suggestions, free; you can still change the text when you order.
